THIS IS OUR FAMILY
Free Spirit Warrior Yoga is all about being creative while still honoring authentic yoga teachings. We will stress the importance of keeping the mind focused on the observation of the body and the breath. You will work towards taking a rest when your body is calling for it – instead of when your mind is telling you to give up. We encourage you to acknowledge where you are today, honor your body, and be thankful for each practice. Our classes incorporate asana (postures) practice, Pranayama (breath work) and Yoga Philosophies. While your practice here will be physically challenging, the emphasis is for this physical movement to occur only with consistent breath and steady mind. What a beautiful thing it is to find a way to benefit your body, mind and soul while having fun and connecting with a most wonderful community! Welcome to our Family!

Daniel started his yoga journey while studying psychology at SUNY Purchase. What started out as a form of exercise quickly became a career. He started with physical training in order to expand upon his knowledge of the physical mechanics of the body. After years of studying the workings of the mind, Daniel became intrigued in linking the two. Daniel dove deeper into his mediation practice and decided to attain his 200hr Yoga teacher training at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health. Yoga and wellness soon became two vital pillars in Daniel’s life, his true calling. Since then he has spent over a year at Kripalu, continuing his education to become a Certified Yoga Therapist. Daniel’s personal yoga practice pushes his body to its limits through rigorous training in handstands, arm balances, and increased flexibility. His advanced practice is a reflection of his dedication to self improvement and wellness. He enjoys combining different styles of movement such as gymnastics, acrobatics, and Qigong. Daniel’s approach to teaching is client centered and individualized to their needs. He has a profound ability to understand his clients needs and goals, which allows him to lead them through a safe and mindful practice.
